About the role:
This is a leadership role for someone who still enjoys getting out on site.
You'll coordinate a team of experienced Field Service Technicians, provide technical support on challenging jobs and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the high standards your customers expect.
You'll spend your time:

Leading, mentoring and supporting Field Service Technicians and apprentices

Planning daily work schedules and allocating resources across multiple customer sites

Providing technical guidance on hydraulic and mechanical repairs

Assisting with complex diagnostics and problem-solving when required

Working closely with customers to understand requirements and deliver practical engineering solutions

Monitoring job progress, quality and productivity to ensure projects stay on track

Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, workshop efficiency and customer outcomes

Championing a positive safety culture across every site
This is a role where you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, influence outcomes and help shape the future of a growing field service operation.
About You:

A mechanical engineering trade qualification or equivalent industry experience

Strong hydraulic repair, maintenance and fault-finding expertise

Experience supervising or mentoring tradespeople in a field service or workshop environment

Confidence communicating with customers and building long-term relationships
-
Sound organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

Commercial awareness, with experience around quotations, job costing or project delivery viewed favourably
-
A genuine commitment to safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement
-
A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence
