We are looking for a reliable and motivated Slitting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at our Hamilton site.

This is a permanent, full-time position working our afternoon shift from 2pm to 10pm. The role is an important part of our production process and would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing quality products, and works well as part of a team.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • setting up and operating slitting machinery safely and efficiently;
  • completing production and quality documentation accurately;
  • carrying out quality checks throughout the production process;
  • producing products to the required quality and output standards;
  • minimising material waste;
  • caring for machinery, equipment, and production materials;
  • following standard operating, safety, and maintenance procedures;
  • meeting agreed production and department objectives; and
  • identifying opportunities to improve work processes and efficiency.

About you

You will bring:

  • a reliable and positive approach to work;
  • a willingness to learn and undertake relevant manufacturing training;
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality;
  • good written and verbal communication skills;
  • sound basic mathematics skills;
  • a practical or mechanical aptitude;
  • the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • good organisational and time-management skills; and
  • the ability to safely undertake the physical requirements of the role, including regular lifting and handling of production materials.

Previous manufacturing or machine-operating experience would be an advantage. Preference may be given to applicants with experience operating flexible-film slitting equipment, although training will be provided to the right person.
