About Us 

Waikato's leading supplier and installer of Residential, Commercial and Industrial Garage Doors.  We are a family owned company with over 40 years in the garage door industry, we pride ourselves on our innovation and expertise including designing and manufacturing specialty garage doors to suit our clients needs.

We are looking for a manufacturer/factory hand with awesome welding skills and a can do attitude, who is self driven, reliable, professional and courteous.

Never manufactured a door before?  …don’t worry we’ll get you there… for the right person we will provide on the job training and all the tools you need. Initially you’ll buddy up with another team member so you can learn the different aspects of the role and we can find your best fit within the team.

Regular drug testing is part of our Company Policy so you will need to pass a pre-employment drug test prior to any offer of employment.

You'll mostly be working on your own or may require another team member to complete the project and as we can get really busy there are opportunities to earn extra through extended hours (including Saturdays) with potential for increased financial recognition as you improve your skills and customer service levels.

About You 

·    Keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail 

·    Mechanically minded / foward thinker

·    Competent with hand and power tools

·    Strong work ethic with high energy levels and good communication

·    Physically fit person (able to lift 20kg and stand for long periods)

·    Able to work unsupervised and/or in a team environment

·    A clean, full driver's license - with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles (and back a trailer)

·    Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided 

·   Have welding experience and/or welding tickets 

The Role 

·    Manufacturing Tilt Doors and Personal Access (PA) Doors in compliance with company standards

·    Insulating and Staining Sectional Doors

·  Welding parts and brackets

·  Maintaining cleanliness in the workshop and keeping parts well stocked and organised

·    Filling in job sheets accurately and recording essential job information

·    Following instructions and adhering to health and safety procedures

·   Driving Company vehicles to pick up parts tools and supplies

·    Unloading stock and recieiving deliveries

·   Full time Mon-Fri position with occasional Saturday work to meet client demands.
