Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plant, transplant, and maintain greenhouse crops.
  • Perform crop care activities including pruning, training, trellising, leaf removal, and general plant maintenance.
  • Monitor crops for pests, diseases, and other plant health issues and report concerns to supervisors.
  • Assist with irrigation and fertilization activities as directed.
  • Harvest cucumbers according to quality specifications and production schedules.
  • Grade, sort, and pack produce to meet customer and market requirements.
  • Label and prepare products for dispatch.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the greenhouse and packing areas.
  • Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, workstations, and growing areas.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving produce, supplies, and materials.
  • Follow all food safety, quality assurance, and workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to support daily greenhouse operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous greenhouse, horticulture, farming, or agricultural experience is must.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
