Fitter & Fabricator

All Trades Contract Services are looking for a skilled Fitter & Fabricator to join our team to work with our client based in Hawkes Bay. 

About the role:

• Starting wage of $35.00 per hour
• Permanent contract.
• Minimum guranteed 30 hours per week. 
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Machining & Fitting: Turn, mill, and fit precision parts, shafts, and bearings to repair or upgrade food production machinery.
• Sanitary Fabrication: Fabricate, modify, and install stainless steel structures, conveyors, and pipework to strict food-grade hygienic standards.
• Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose mechanical faults quickly during breakdowns to minimize factory downtime.
• Clear Communication: Listen carefully to client issues, explain technical solutions clearly, and write accurate job cards.
• Drawing Interpretation: Read and precisely execute complex engineering drawings and schematics.
• Hygiene & Safety: Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures, food safety regulations, and health and safety policies on-site.
