We are seeking a fulltime enthusiastic Chemistry Tutor to join our private after-school training center. You will support middle school students with foundational science and guide senior students through NZQA (NCEA Levels 1–3), Cambridge AS-Level, and International Baccalaureate (IB) Chemistry curricula.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Lessons: Teach core chemistry concepts to individual students or small groups.
  • Master Curricula: Provide targeted support for Middle School science, NZQA (NCEA Levels 1–3), Cambridge AS-Level, and IB Diploma Chemistry (SL/HL).
  • Prep Exams: Train students for NCEA external standards, internal assessments, AS-Level exams, and IB internal/external assessments.
  • Track Progress: Assess student performance and provide regular, constructive feedback to parents.
  • Build Curriculum: Develop tailored lesson plans, structured worksheets, and exam-style practice questions aligned with NZQA, Cambridge, and IB matrices.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a highly relevant STEM field.
  • Experience: Proven experience tutoring secondary school students.
  • Communication: Ability to simplify complex molecular theories, organic mechanisms, and mathematical calculations for different age groups.
  • Schedule: Availability to work weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
