About Us

We are a New Zealand-based flooring contractor providing carpet and vinyl flooring installation services for residential and commercial projects across the West Coast region. We are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and professional flooring solutions for new builds, renovations and maintenance projects.

Due to continued project growth and increasing operational requirements, we are seeking a permanent full-time Carpet and Vinyl Layer (minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week, Monday to Saturday depending on project requirements) to join our team on the West Coast.

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing carpet and vinyl flooring, preparing flooring surfaces, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Measure, inspect and prepare flooring surfaces prior to installation.

· Install carpet, vinyl sheet and vinyl plank flooring in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.

· Cut, trim and fit flooring materials accurately using appropriate tools and equipment.

· Prepare and apply adhesives and other fixing materials where required.

· Remove existing floor coverings and prepare surfaces for new flooring installations.

· Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.

· Maintain flooring tools and equipment in good working condition.

· Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.

· Work collaboratively with supervisors, contractors and other tradespeople.

· Perform any other duties reasonably required by the employer.

To be successful you will need to have:

· At least 2 years' relevant experience in carpet and vinyl flooring installation; OR 

· A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification in flooring installation, construction or a related field.

· Demonstrated ability to interpret measurements and install flooring accurately to project specifications.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

· Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
