Sky Car Removal Auto Parts Limited is establishing a dedicated export function for ferrous and non-ferrous recycled metals. We are seeking a commercially focused Export Manager to develop and manage sales to China, Malaysia, Taiwan and prospective markets including India.
You will lead overseas buyer development, negotiate export contracts, coordinate international shipments and ensure the export operation achieves its revenue, margin and compliance objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop export strategies and identify viable overseas markets, buyers and trading partners.
- Build relationships with recyclers, processors, mills, commodity traders and importers.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms, specifications and shipment arrangements.
- Monitor commodity prices, freight costs, foreign-exchange exposure and contract margins.
- Coordinate metal grading, preparation, inspection, loading and international logistics.
- Oversee export documentation and compliance with New Zealand and destination-market requirements.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and management reports on export performance and commercial risk.
- Coordinate internal staff, freight providers and other service partners involved in shipments.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- At least three years of relevant experience in metal recycling and automotive spare-parts sales.
- Demonstrated commercial sales, negotiation and business-to-business relationship experience.
- Knowledge of recycled-metal grades, pricing, quality requirements and market conditions.
- Experience coordinating freight, logistics, shipping or export documentation is preferred.
- Strong commercial, analytical, reporting and communication capability.
- Ability to manage overseas buyers and work effectively across international markets.
- Existing contacts in international recycled-metal or automotive markets are preferred, particularly in China, Malaysia, Taiwan or India.
- A relevant qualification in international business, commerce, logistics, supply chain or a related field is preferred.
