C & C Building Materials Limited trading as CC Door Stair specialises in designing, crafting high-quality interior doors and stair solutions tailored for modern homes across Auckland. We are in need of a product designer to design and develop innovative interior door and stair products that meet customer requirements and market trends.

Work location: Auckland

Length of employment: Full time and permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week (Minimum 30 hours guaranteed)

Job duties of the position offered –

    • Design and develop industrial, commercial, or consumer products with a focus on functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
    • Utilize design software to sketch and create detailed door and staris designs and specifications.
    • Work closely with the production teams to ensure designs are practical for mass or batch production.
    • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and instructions for the manufacturing of doors and stairs.
    • Ensure all designs meet quality standards, production limitations, and compliance regulations.
    • Document materials, dimensions, assembly processes, and other specifications in comprehensive design manuals.
    • Coordinate with the production and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are feasible for batch or mass production.
    • Address and resolve any production-related issues or adjustments that arise during manufacturing.
    • Research and implement new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to improve the design and production of products.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure the company's products are innovative and competitive in the market.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, sales teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into designs.
    • Prepare presentations and reports to explain design concepts and progress to clients or management.

Requirements of the position offered -

  • Have at least 3 years’ work experience in the relevant industry, OR
    Have a relevant bachelor qualification or higher in Industrial Design or  Product Design
