We have an opportunity for multi-talented person with extensive experience in toolmaking.
You will be working alongside a team of talented professionals who enjoy their work and take pride in their workmanship.
You will be engaged in Mould design, Mould manufacture and other Precision machining work.
For this role, the key duties are:
Injection Mould Making & Product Tool Design, CNC & Other Machines Setting & Machining
- Design, read, and understand CAD drawings and specifications of tools, moulds, and other manufactured articles.
- Measure, mark, and preset raw materials including various metal and plastic stock according to specifications. Shape these materials using machinery and instruments.
- Set settings and dimensions accordingly.
- Design, make, and manufacture tools, moulds, and other manufactured articles.
- Monitor output, check for accuracy and quality. Check finished products according to various vectors according to requirements, check using precision technology and tools to ensure that outputs are of the quality we require.
- Where required test, adjust, and modify settings. Update templates and specifications after discussions with key internal stakeholders.
- Locate, mend, and correct patterns to ensure minimal issues.
- Assemble products and output where required according to output requirements and specifications.
- Add finishings and final touches.
- And any other reasonable relevant tasks.
Machine Automation Design & Build
- Design bespoke machines and automation solutions
- Manufacture designed solutions
- Commission and test solutions
The ideal candidates will have:
- Any trade qualification of toolmaker.
- You will have at least 2 years’ experience in a toolroom.
- Knowledge of and experience with toolroom machinery and tools such as mills, lathes, surface and cylindrical grinders, EDM etc.
- Knowledge and experience with CNC machine set up and operation.
- Competent in use of CAD and CAM software, particularly Solidworks and Fusion 360.
- Experience in advanced tool and mould design.
- Experience in machine design and manufacture.
In addition, the candidates will have:
- A demonstrable ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
- A positive disposition.
- Be computer literate.
- Be tidy and organized.
- Be honest and reliable.
- Have proven communication skills, both written and verbal.

This vacancy is a permanent full-time role for a minimum of 40 hours per week, working between 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, for a maximum of 50 hours per week.
This role will be paid between $34 to $50 per hour depending on your experience.
