Aluminium Fabricators

 

Due to an increase in workload and expansion, we are seeking 2 aluminium fabricators, with working experience in aluminium products  manufacture, such as aluminium louver,  canopy,  gate and flashing.

Bring your “can do attitude” to this growing  Company in East Tāmaki.

You will be rostered to work at least 40 hours per week for this busy role, full-time position, immediate start.

 

Job Description for this position

 Studying drawings to determine job requirements

Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock

Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, and metal cutting and bending machines

 Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

 Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing and grinding

  Assembly aluminium and steel structure on site 

 

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:

  At least least two years working experience in aluminium production  manufacture

 Can read and interpret plans/ engineering drawings

 Health and safety conscious

Be able to work unsupervised and in a team both in the workshop and on the site

Be enthusiastic, motivated and show initiative

Work to a very high standard

Be self motivated, punctual and ready to workBe able to work for nightshift and/or on the weekend

 

Depending on skills, experience and qualifications, the salary will range from $28 to $30.00
