P&A Ltd is an Auckland based Company; specialising in asphalt cartage, general cartage and earthworks. We have 1 positions available for Excavator Operators in Auckland; full time permanent job Monday to Saturday flexible hours, guaranteed 30 hours of work per week. 

40 to 50 hours a week during busy periods. 

Pay Range $35 - $40 per hour depending on work experience 

Job Prerequisites 

The suitable candidate must have minimum 3 years proven experience working with different size of excavators and skid steer. Licencing is Required. 

Job Description 

• Preparing, monitoring and positioning the plant for operation.

• Operate heavy excavation plant to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gauge out, move load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials. Skilled in setting out excavations and operating laser wand. Changing, selecting, fitting and removing machine attachments using manual and hydraulic controls, careful and skilled operator who takes care of the Equipment being operated.

• Able to read drawings, markers and work on the verbal instructions given. Greasing, servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refuelling the plants during intervals and performing minor adjustments and repairs. Being able to fill in the job sheets and timesheets on a daily basis.

• Ensuring compliance with health & safety rules at all times and the safety of other workers.

• Punctual, clean and tidy appearance at the site; good communication skills, act in a cautious and cooperative manner towards customers and co-workers.

• Drug test is required.
