We are looking for an experienced Tailor to join our team in Auckland. This role guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week with a competitive wage of $25.00 - $40.00 per hour.


Job Responsibilities:
    • Measure customers or garments to determine accurate sizing and fitting requirements.
    • Alter, repair, and tailor garments, including shortening, lengthening, taking in, letting out, and replacing components such as zippers, buttons, and linings.
    • Cut fabrics according to patterns, measurements, and garment specifications.
    • Sew garments and alterations using industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques where required.
    • Assemble, fit, and finish garments to ensure a high standard of workmanship.
    • Press and finish completed garments to achieve a professional appearance.
    • Select appropriate fabrics, threads, linings, and other materials based on garment requirements.
    • Inspect completed garments to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications.
    • Maintain sewing machines, tailoring equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
    • Comply with workplace health and safety procedures while using sewing equipment, cutting tools, and pressing machinery.
Requirements:
    • A minimum of two years of relevant tailoring experience.
    • Ability to accurately measure, cut, alter, and construct garments.
    • Experience operating industrial sewing machines and tailoring equipment.
    • Good attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality workmanship.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
