Key Responsibilities

As a Scaffolder, you will:

  • Erect, alter, inspect and dismantle scaffolding structures on residential, commercial and industrial sites.
  • Read and follow work instructions and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Measure, cut and position scaffolding tubes, boards, fittings and components.
  • Install guardrails, toe boards, stair access and other safety systems.
  • Inspect scaffolding structures to identify hazards, defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Load, unload and transport scaffolding equipment safely.
  • Operate scaffolding tools and lifting equipment correctly and safely.
  • Work closely with supervisors, site managers and other trades to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all company health and safety policies and New Zealand workplace regulations.

What We're Looking For

The successful applicant should have:

  • At least 2 years' scaffolding experience in residential, commercial or industrial projects.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work comfortably at heights.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Relevant scaffolding qualifications or tickets are advantageous.
