Sri Enterprises Limited operates horticulture and orchard activities across the Bay of Plenty region and requires Irrigation Technicians to manage and maintain irrigation systems across orchard sites. These roles are essential to ensure efficient water distribution, support plant health, and maintain optimum growing conditions for quality crop production.

Position Title: Irrigation Technician
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $29– $35 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

 

Key Requirements

  • At least 2 Year's of Experience OR Level 4 Qualification. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems across orchard sites.
  • Monitor irrigation schedules, water flow, and system performance.
  • Inspect irrigation equipment including pumps, valves, filters, and pipelines.
  • Identify and repair leaks, blockages, and system faults.
  • Operate and maintain irrigation control systems and associated equipment.
  • Monitor soil moisture levels and adjust irrigation schedules as required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and preventative servicing of irrigation infrastructure.
  • Maintain records of irrigation activities, repairs, and water usage.
  • Ensure efficient use of water resources and minimise wastage.
  • Follow workplace health & safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues.
