We are seeking a suitably qualified Store Manager to take full responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation and overall performance of our retail store. We offer a minimum of 30 working hours per week at a pay rate of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.

  • Plan, direct and oversee the overall operations and commercial performance of the retail store.
  • Develop and implement operational, sales, purchasing and marketing strategies.
  • Establish sales targets, budgets and performance standards and assess results against business objectives.
  • Determine the store’s product range, prices, promotions and merchandising strategies.
  • Negotiate prices, terms and supply agreements with suppliers.
  • Analyse sales trends, customer demand, stock movement and financial performance to improve profitability.
  • Determine staffing requirements and manage the recruitment, training, performance and development of employees.
  • Establish staff rosters, responsibilities and customer service standards
  • Develop and implement store policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Determine appropriate stock levels and oversee inventory control.
  • Oversee financial controls, cash management, expenditure and operational reports.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and maintain service standards.
  • Ensure the store complies with applicable health and safety, employment and other regulatory requirements.
  • Report on store performance and recommend improvements to support business growth.

Requirements:

  • A qualification at Level 5 or higher in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Relevant retail management experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
