As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Taxi & Tour Driver to join our team.

Job Roles:

Pick up and transport customers safely and efficiently to and from airports, cruise terminals, accommodation, tourist attractions and other requested destinations.

Conduct private sightseeing tours and provide customers with general information about local attractions, landmarks and places of interest during the journey.

Meet and greet customers, assist with loading and unloading luggage, and provide a professional, courteous and friendly service at all times.

Plan the most efficient travel routes, taking into account traffic conditions, road closures and customer schedules.

Collect fares and process payments in accordance with company procedures where required.

Ensure passengers travel safely and comfortably throughout the journey, providing assistance to elderly passengers and those requiring additional support where appropriate.

Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after each shift, including checking fuel, oil, tyres and the general roadworthiness of the vehicle, and promptly report any faults or maintenance requirements.

Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle to a high standard at all times.

Keep accurate records of trips, bookings, vehicle inspections and other operational documentation.

Ensure all vehicle licences, registration, Certificate of Fitness (CoF) and other compliance requirements remain current.

Promote the company's transport and tour services and provide customers with information about available tours and travel options.

Comply with all applicable road transport legislation, health and safety requirements, and company policies and procedures.

Carry out any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the position.

 

Skills required:

  • Must have NZ Class 1 Driver’s License or an equivalent overseas license
  • You must be able to obtain P endorsement or currently have it
  • A clean driving record and police record is required
  • You must pass a drug test if required
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Ability to work on weekends, public holidays, late nights or overnights
  • A positive attitude with great communication skills
  • A well-groomed and professional
  • Min 30 hours to max 50 hours per week
  • No of Positions: 2
  • Mon to Sunday work available with 1-2 days off
