About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join a busy food manufacturing team based in Wiri, Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
As a Quality Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet strict food safety and quality standards while supporting production teams to maintain compliance across the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Work closely with Production Managers and operational teams to maintain quality systems and procedures.
Conduct routine quality inspections, testing, and product evaluations.
Assist with internal and external audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain and update quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records.
Educate and support team members on food safety and quality requirements.
Coordinate supplier compliance documentation and quality-related administrative tasks.
Analyse quality data and identify trends to support reporting and process improvements.
Investigate quality issues and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate records in accordance with company quality systems.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role is advantageous but not essential.
Recent graduates with qualifications in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related discipline are encouraged to apply.
A sound understanding of Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, or quality management systems is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements
A qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance is beneficial but not essential.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
