We have a position available for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team, working on large-diameter pipeline projects throughout the Auckland region.

  • Full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Your ordinary hours of work will be 40 hours per week normally worked between 6:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to work the occasional Saturday.
  • $35 - $45 per hour

 

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • You must have at least 10 years proven work experience that include slinging and lifting large diameter concrete pipe. 
  • Class 1,2,4,W,T,R Licence
  • You must be able to work within the timeframe of the project and be a reliable member of the team.
  • Knowing, understanding, communicating, and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety regulations
  • Experience in the earthmoving sector with experience operating dozers, diggers, graders and scrapers
  • Candidates who can operate GPS machines and do everything from bulk earthmoving, trenching, digging and final trim finished will be looked upon favourably.
  • Full compliance with company Health & Safety systems and procedures at all times.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Slinging & Lifting large diameter concrete pipes.
  • Conduct excavation works
  • Load Trucks
  • Dig trenches
  • Batter trimmings
  • Operate a variety of power and hand tools
  • Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained and stored
  • Assess, identify and notify Supervisor or any technical issues
  • Operate various items of plant and ancillary equipment as required by Supervisor.
