Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are a well-established kitchen design, build and installation company currently based in Auckland. We provide quality service in the aspects of kitchen design, manufacture and installation.

We now require one full-time (guaranteed 30 hours per week) Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team on a permanent basis.

Work Region: Auckland region

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

•       Building, fabricating and installing both new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools, controls, and hydraulic power systems using appropriate tools and equipment following drawings

•       Monitoring all parts are fitted correctly and functioning as intended. 

•       Performing routine tests on machinery and equipment to keep them in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.

•       Gathering and analysing data, performing complex computations, and creating diagrams for internal record keeping

•       Estimating material costs and quantities required for each production cycle, along with evaluating the necessary machinery and tools to complete the tasks effectively and machine requirements

•       Testing machines, components, and materials to assess performance, strength, and response to stress, including CNC machines and control-driven equipment 

•       Applying knowledge of mechanical technology and engineering science to organize and supervise inspection and maintenance of machines

•       Complying with the regulations and contract provisions

As to a Mechanical Engineering Technician, the Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years' relevant work experience in the same field or industry,or Have a relevant level 5 or above qualification 

We offer a competitive salary of $35-45/per hour depending on your personal attributes and experiences.
