We are seeking a skilled Web Developer (Web Programmer) to design, develop, maintain, and improve websites and web-based applications that support our business operations and online presence.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain company websites and web applications using appropriate programming languages and web technologies.

Analyse business and user requirements and develop technical solutions that meet operational needs.

Develop responsive, user-friendly, and secure websites across desktop and mobile platforms.

Integrate websites with databases, APIs, payment gateways, and third-party business applications where required.

Monitor website performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement enhancements to improve functionality and user experience.

Maintain website security, backups, and software updates to ensure reliable operation.

Collaborate with business users, designers, and other ICT professionals to deliver web development projects.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and system documentation.

Support search engine optimisation (SEO), website analytics, and digital performance improvements.

Keep up to date with emerging web technologies and recommend improvements to support business growth.
Skills and Experience

A Bachelor's degree (NZQF Level 7 or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ASP.NET, Python, or other modern web programming languages.

Experience with SQL databases, content management systems (CMS), and web frameworks.

Knowledge of responsive web design, web security, and API integration.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience with SEO and website performance optimisation will be an advantage.
