Franz Josef Wilderness Tours Limited is a family run company which operates a range of tours around the Franz Josef region. We are looking for up to five fixed-term Outdoor Adventure Guides to work over the seasonal tourism season (October 2026 – end of April 2027).

The job involves:

·       Meeting, organising and communicating effectively with clients and to large groups of people.

·       Leading and supervising safe quad, walking, kayak and SUP tours.

·       Demonstrating and providing instructions (including technique and safety advice) on how to effectively operate quads, kayaks and SUPs.

·       Providing a narrative/story and answering questions about the history and environment while leading tours.

·       Loading and driving vans and trailers with equipment to site.

·       Undertaking quad, kayak and SUP set-up, cleaning and maintenance.

·       Responding to emergencies by providing first aid assistance.

·       Undertaking other administrative work relating to tours (such as bookings, invoicing, coordinating with clients, filling out incident reports etc)

Applicants must be available to work on all public holidays except for Christmas Day. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Remuneration ranges from $27 - $32 per hour.

Applicants must have:

·       A minimum of one year relevant work experience.

·       A full clean driver’s licence (or overseas equivalent).

In addition to the above, ideally you will hold a valid first aid certificate. If you don’t hold one, you must be willing to obtain one (at our expense).
