The Transport Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily collection and delivery operations of the courier business. The position manages driver recruitment, training, rostering and performance, while ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, registered and compliant with safety standards. It also monitors fuel usage, labour costs, delivery performance and overall operational efficiency.

A key responsibility is ensuring compliance with NZ Post contractual requirements, company procedures, employment obligations, road safety regulations and health and safety standards. The role also includes maintaining operational records, preparing performance and incident reports, investigating delivery delays and customer complaints, and implementing corrective actions.
