The Top Energy Group operates throughout the Far North delivering geothermal electricity generation and electricity network operations. We are enabling Northland to contribute to the decarbonisation challenge by transforming the Top Energy Group into a technology-enabled energy company that generates and facilitates two-way energy flow between renewable energy generators and consumers.

About the role

 

We are looking for a human resources professional who also has a love of systems. In this role, you will provide trusted human resources advice and partnering support to managers and employees across our field services division. In addition, you will oversee HRIS support, system enhancements, reporting, and analytics, including MYOB/PayGlobal, Elmo, dashboards, and people metrics, to drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.

About you

To succeed in this role, you should hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline or be working towards obtaining one. You will bring a minimum of two to three years' experience at an advisory level within an operationally focused HR environment, together with at least two years' experience supporting payroll, HRIS, or other digital business systems. Strong knowledge of current and emerging employment legislation is essential, along with advanced Microsoft Office skills and demonstrated experience developing and maintaining people reporting tools, dashboards, and workforce metrics. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Having experience using Power BI to deliver meaningful workforce insights and analytics will be a big plus, as well as exposure to change management and project management initiatives. Experience supporting human resource technology enhancements, process improvements, and data-driven decision-making will be highly regarded.

Key areas of focus

  • Partner with leaders and staff on employment relations, talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Lead the administration, optimisation, and continuous improvement of HR systems, including PayGlobal, ESS, SAP, Elmo, and people reporting tools.
  • Prepare and analyse payroll, workforce, and people metrics to support informed business decision-making
