Lustre & Co operates professional beauty salons at Queensgate Shopping Centre in Lower Hutt and North City Shopping Centre in Porirua. We provide a range of professional beauty services, including eyelash extensions, eyebrow treatments, cosmetic tattooing, nail services, and other beauty treatments.  We are looking for three skilled Lash & Brow Technicians to join our team. 

Job type: Full-time, permanent

Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week

Responsibilities include: The successful applicant will be required to:

• Perform high-quality eyelash extension services, including classic, hybrid and volume lash extensions.  

• Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable lash styles and treatments.  

• Perform eyebrow shaping, waxing, tinting and eyebrow extension services where required.  • Perform manicure, pedicure and basic nail treatments, where required.

• Maintain a clean, organised, safe and hygienic work area, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.  

• Educate clients on appropriate lash aftercare and recommend suitable aftercare products and treatments to help achieve long-lasting results.  

• Keep up to date with the latest lash trends, products and techniques to continuously develop professional skills.  

• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every client feels comfortable, valued and well cared for.  

• Build strong client relationships and contribute to growing and retaining the salon's client base.  • Receive bookings, arrange appointments and maintain accurate client records.  

• Carry out other reasonable duties related to the position as required. 

What We're Looking For:

Applicants must have at least one of the following:

• At least 1 year of relevant working experience; or

• A relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above, or an equivalent overseas qualification; or

• A bachelor’s degree in any field.

Applicants should also have:

• Practical skills in eyelash and eyebrow beauty treatments.

• Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.

• The ability to work in a busy salon environment.

• A good understanding of workplace hygiene and safety.

• Reliability, a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• The ability to work rostered hours, including weekends and late nights if required.

• The ability to work at either of the employer's salon locations, if required: Lustre & Co – Queensgate Branch at Shop 256, Queensgate Shopping Centre, Lower Hutt, Wellington, and Lustre & Co – Porirua Branch at Shop 145, North City Shopping Centre, Porirua, Wellington.
