The ICT Support Technician is responsible for high-quality repair and maintenance service for a variety of IT devices including laptops, mobile phones, notepads, ICT peripherals, tablets, desktop computers and other electronic goods by diagnosing problems, installing, configuring and troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems.

Full-time and permanent position
Hours of work - minimum 30 hours per week and will be increased as required upto 45 hours based on weekly roster
The employee’s tasks and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Quality inspection and auditing
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications,
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, both residential and business,
• Assemble and disassemble computers, laptops and other devices,
• Assist clients to resolve issues by face-to-face discussions or over the telephone,
• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults,
• Replacing parts as required,
• Providing specific business IT advice to commercial and business customers,
• Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports to senior members of the company,
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications/setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues,
• Responding within agreed time limit to call outs
• Working continuously on task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
• Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time,
• Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals,
• Testing and evaluation new technologies
• Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment,
• Configuration of client’s equipment to connect to the internet via modem/DSL/router (Dial up/DSL customers only)
• Diagnose and Repair apple, Android and window phone
• Assisting senior members of staff, as required.
• Stock maintenance
• Keep the shop nice and tidy
• Deal with customers in a daily basis and resolve the issues/complaints if any
• Protect employees and customers by providing safe and clean store environment. Ensure all health and safety standards are met.
• To do such other duties as the Manager/Director may from time to time direct
Skills needed for staff
• Main skills required with smart phones
• Should know soldering
• Software programming
• Broken glass refurbish
• PCB installation
• Good knowledge of internal components of motherboard
• Data back up
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE
• 1 year or more of relevant work experience in ICT is essential
• Relevant Level 5 qualification can be considered in-lieu of work experience
• Hold knowledge repairing and maintaining mobile devices
• Should have worked on laptops, mobile phones, computers, notepads and other electronic goods
• Strong technical ability.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good understanding of computers and communication devices
• Are you willing to work roaster shifts including weekend and public holidays
• Able to work overtime if needed
• Excellent Communications skills, both verbal and written
• Is able to interact appropriately with a wide range of people
• Solid judgment skills
• Hands-on approach and a willingness to learn
