Farmer Horticulture Limited operates horticulture and orchard services in the Tauranga
region and requires Horticulture Leading Hands to support supervisors and lead
small teams in daily orchard operations. These roles are essential to coordinate
seasonal tasks, maintain work quality, and ensure safe and efficient horticultural
practices across orchard sites.

Position Title: Horticulture Leading Hand

Number of Positions: 1

Location: ALL, Bay of Plenty

Payrate: $32 - $38 per hour

Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience or general management and customer service in any field.

At least Level 4 or above relevant qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate horticultural teams on-site to achieve productivity targets.

Supervise all horticulture related tasks.

Provide on-the-job training and ensure all work meets quality standards.

Monitor weather, soil, and crop conditions and adjust tasks accordingly.

Report daily progress to management and assist in workforce planning.

Maintain compliance with workplace health, safety, and biosecurity standards.

Operate and oversee the use of horticultural tools, machinery, and equipment.

Act as the communication link between ground staff and management.
