Position Available: Maintenance Technician

Number of Positions Available: 1

Location: ALL, Waikato

Pay Rate: $31 to $42 per hour

Hours of Work: 30 – 50 hours per week

Key Requirements:

At least 2 years or more of relevant experience in machinery and or general technical area irrespective of the industry

or

At least Level 4 qualification

Key Responsibilities:

Their primary mandate is to maximize all types of machinery uptime and ensure equipment operates safely.

Core Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled servicing, engine tune-ups, oil changes, and fluid lubrications on a strict timeline to prevent field breakdowns.

System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults using advanced digital diagnostic tools.

Equipment Repair: Dismantle defective engine assemblies, transmissions, steering linkages, and braking components to repair or replace worn parts.

Field Support: Travel directly to orchard blocks or crop fields to perform emergency on-site repairs and reduce operational downtime.

Record Keeping: Document detailed logs of parts used, repair histories, technical inspections, and upcoming service schedules.

Operational Training: Provide technical guidance to tractor drivers and harvest crews on how to operate machinery safely and identify early signs of wear.
