With continued growth and an exciting future ahead, they are now seeking an experienced salesperson to strengthen existing client relationships, identify new opportunities and further expand their presence within New Zealand's premium residential and commercial interiors market.


The Opportunity:

This is a relationship-first sales role, where your success will come from becoming a trusted partner to New Zealand's interior design community. You'll spend your time building genuine, long-term relationships with interior designers, understanding their design aesthetic, project requirements and preferred way of working, so that when furniture recommendations are needed, you're their first call.

Working closely with designers and their clients, you'll guide furniture selections for high-end residential homes and wider commercial projects, providing expert advice and creating solutions that complement each project's vision. While you'll identify new opportunities and manage projects through to completion, the majority of your success will stem from trusted relationships, repeat business and designer referrals.

This is not a transactional sales role. It's about becoming part of your clients' extended team, building credibility over time and ensuring the brand is front of mind whenever furniture is being considered for a project.

The Role:

  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships with interior designers and their clients.

  • Become the preferred furniture partner for New Zealand's interior design community.

  • Consult with designers and their clients to recommend furniture solutions that align with their vision

  • Identify upcoming residential and commercial projects and support them from concept through to delivery.

  • Grow new business through referrals, networking and relationship development.

  • Showcase new product collections and bespoke furniture solutions through engaging presentations

  • Build collaborative relationships with complementary businesses within the interiors industry.

  • ·Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities, tracking projects through to conversion.

  • Provide back up support to the Showroom Manager.

  • Attend networking and industry events to further build brand presence

  • Develop and maintain regional client relationships. (e.g. BOP, Waikato, Hawkes Bay).

About You:

  • Previous sales experience working with the Interior Design market and sound understanding of how it operates.

  • Existing relationships within the interior design community would be highly advantageous.

  • You genuinely enjoy building trusted, long-term client relationships rather than simply closing sales.

  • You're equally comfortable working with designers, homeowners and commercial clients.

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to influence and guide decisions

  • Your clients look forward to your visits, because they value your advice, responsiveness and product knowledge.

  • A creative, design orientation. Ability to naturally influence and provide sound advice.

  • Self-motivated and capable of managing your own activity and relationships

  • Ability to manage a busy workload with regional travel approximately 4 times a year.

  • You are motivated to achieve. Continually strives to increase business and achieve goals.
