We are part of Fairview Aluminium Windows and Doors which is a leading brand in the industry of aluminium window and door manufacturing and installation. We are based in Auckland and provide quality customised services in Auckland Waikato and Bay of Plenty areas.

Currently we are looking for a Database Analyst to plan, maintain and support our databse management system and ensure database secuirty and performance.

Your Duties:

  • Database creation modification and removal when necessary.
  • Database update, Insertion, modification, and deletion;
  • Database retrieval, which may involve retrieving data which can be made available inan either the form being the same as it is stored in the database or in a new form
    obtained by altering or combining existing data from the database;
  • Database administration by registering and monitoring users, enforcing data security, monitoring performance, maintaining data integrity, dealing with concurrency control,and recovering information that has been corrupted by some event such as an unexpected system failure;
  • Designing, developing, updating and maintaining company's database architecture,structures, tables, dictionaries and naming conventions to ensure the accuracy andcompleteness of all data master files for the company's databases and the corresponding systems and procedures;
  • Performing the operational establishment and preventive maintenance of backups,recovery procedures, and enforcing security and integrity controls for companiesdatabase and computers;
  • Implementing and administering database documentation, guidelines, policies and
    procedures to ensure the databases and their systems operate cost-effectively;
    Testing database systems and upgrades, such as debugging, tracking, reproduction,logging and resolving all identified problems, according to approved quality testingscripts, procedures and processes;
  • Accepting responsibility for the processes, procedures and operational managementassociated with database and system security and disaster recovery planning;
  • Troubleshooting and providing training and service support to other key users of thedatabase and systems in their daily uses;
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation, policies and instructions, and recordingand detailing operational procedures and system logs;
  • Working in conjunction with Quantity Surveyor for computing of estimating andmonitoring products costs from the project quotation stage, through tender preparation,to the installation period and beyond

The minimum skills experience and qualifications for the role:

  • A Bachelor or higher qualification in fields of IT, Database or statistics, or at least five years of work experience in relevant fields
