You will be working across a full range of refrigeration and air conditioning jobs in Mount Isa and surrounding areas, covering residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Day to day you will be:
- Servicing, installing, and fault-finding across residential, commercial, and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Working on mine sites and processing facilities following site safety procedures and permit requirements
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices on the tools as part of a team-first culture
- Communicating clearly and professionally with clients on site
- Working independently when required and managing your own workload without needing close supervision
- Complying with all relevant safety, licensing, and site access requirements
What We Need
- Recognised refrigeration and air conditioning trade qualification, NZ Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 4 or equivalent, non-negotiable
- Current ARCtick refrigerant handling licence or demonstrable ability to obtain one, note that NZ candidates may require a TAFE bridging course, confirm process on application
- Current unrestricted driver's licence, essential
- Comfortable working on industrial and mine sites and following site safety procedures and permit requirements
- Reliable, honest, and team-oriented, this is the owner's number one priority above all technical skills
- Genuinely open to living and working in Mount Isa long term, candidates who have not seriously considered remote Queensland living should not apply
- The following licences can be obtained after arrival and are not deal-breakers on day one: Queensland Mechanical Services Occupational Licence, Queensland Restricted Electrical Work Licence, Construction White Card, and CPR/LVR certification
