Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 1
Location: ALL, Bay of Plenty 
Pay Rate: $28 – $35 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 50 hours per week

Key Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience or Level 4 Qualification

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily fruit production and orchard activities.
Monitor plant health, irrigation, pest, and disease conditions.
Allocate tasks and supervise orchard workers and seasonal staff.
Train staff in safe horticultural practices and procedures
Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements.
Oversee safe use of orchard tools and equipment.
Maintain production records and activity logs.
Conduct quality checks to protect crop yield and standards.
Report orchard progress and issues to management.

 

Position Title: Horticulture Leading Hand
Number of Positions: 1
Location: ALL, Bay of Plenty 
Pay Rate: $32 – $38 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 50 hours per week

Key Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience or Level 4 Qualification

Key Responsibilities:

Lead small teams in daily horticulture and orchard tasks.
Carry out and supervise pruning, thinning, canopy work, mulching,and mowing activities.
Allocate tasks and monitor productivity and work quality.
Train new staff in correct horticultural techniques and safe workpractices.
Operate tools and equipment safely (e.g. secateurs, trimmers,mulchers, mowers).
Assist supervisors with planning and coordinating seasonal workprogrammes.
Maintain orchard hygiene, safety, and biosecurity standards.
Identify and report plant health issues, hazards, or equipment faults.
Support general orchard maintenance and irrigation checks whenrequired.
Maintain basic records of work activities and team attendance.
