Cabinetmaker/Joiner

We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality custom kitchens, proudly serving customers throughout New Zealand's North Island from our purpose-built manufacturing facility in Tauranga.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cabinet Maker/Joiner to join our factory team and help produce premium kitchen cabinetry to the high standards our customers expect. You will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling quality kitchen cabinetry while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

This is a permanent, Full-time (minimum 30 hours per week, up to 45 hours per week) with an hourly rate from $30 to $33, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, and finish kitchen cabinetry to a high standard.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and production plans.
• Operate woodworking machinery and equipment, including CNC machinery and edge banders where required.
• Assemble cabinets, drawers, panels, and associated joinery components.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure all assigned work is completed within production timeframes.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
• Work collaboratively with production staff and supervisors to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required to support factory operations.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least three years of relevant experience in cabinet making, joinery, or furniture manufacturing.
• Experience manufacturing or assembling cabinetry in a commercial production environment.
• The ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings.
• Experience operating woodworking machinery. Experience with CNC machines and edge banders is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good time management skills and the ability to meet production deadlines.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

A relevant trade qualification in Cabinet Making, Joinery, or a related field is advantageous but not essential where sufficient practical experience can be demonstrated.
