Remuneration and Hours of work
Pay rate: $30 - $34 per hour
Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the overall operations of the store
- Lead the team independently and supervise the staff for smooth routine operations of business.
- Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, rostering, training, coaching and performance evaluation
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Monitor and analyse sales and financial data
- Practice excellent communication skills with staff, management and customers.
- Coordinate with staff placed under to perform all tasks on a daily basis.
- Manage finances, including budgeting, cash handling and financial reporting
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, and negotiate contracts and pricing
- Implement marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Strategically plan the growth of business at local level ensuring maximum regular casual customer at the store.
- Introduce and implement new and innovative ideas to generate revenue.
- Ensure store meets health & safety and cleanliness standards.
- Order and manage alcohol products and food stock at hand
- Make decisions on pricing and stock levels
- Stock-take periodically and to check for difference in physical stock and stock in books.
- Make policies and checks to minimise stock expiry and wastage
- Develop promotions via advertising and in-store specials for sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and responsible alcohol service requirements.
- Maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Report maintenance issues and workplace hazards promptly.
- Log any customer disputes, theft or damage to management promptly.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed by all staff.
Requirements:
- You will have a relevant tertiary level qualification or at least two years of relevant work experience in Supervisory/or Management roles.
- You must be able to work long hours, weekends and during public holidays as required.
- You must have a License Controller Qualification (LCQ) that is valid
- You will have good communication skills in English and have excellent customer service skills
- Be technologically capable of operating POS systems and computers as part of the role
