We are looking for an operations Manager to oversee the full operations of our grooming workshop. You will be solely managing the site, with other grooming staff reporting to you and supporting you in your role. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to handle early starts or late finishes when needed, and a proactive approach to improving and growing the business.
You will use your knowledge, skills, and experience to introduce new ideas, improve service quality, and help expand our detailing operation. You will have full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the grooming workshop.
Daily Tasks Involved in the Role
Your duties will include:
- Managing daily grooming and detailing operations
- Coordinating with suppliers for chemicals, equipment, and consumables
- Hiring, training, and supervising grooming staff
- Ensuring vehicles are groomed to a high professional standard
- Providing excellent customer service to a diverse range of clients
- Marketing and promoting the grooming business
- Maintaining quality control and health & safety standards
- Budgeting, stock ordering, and stock management
- Creating and maintaining operational policies for the grooming workshop
What We Are Looking For
We require a mature and responsible team member who can work independently with minimal supervision. You must be able to communicate clearly with customers, staff, and suppliers, and maintain professional customer service in all situations.
Because you will be managing the grooming workshop on your own, you must be able to demonstrate that you can complete all tasks required in this position.
A Diploma‑level qualification (or higher) in any field is acceptable (we are happy to train you if you meet this level of education), OR at least two years’ relevant work experience that enables you to perform the duties of the role.
Additional Requirements
Due to the nature of the position, you may be required to undergo drug testing prior to receiving an Offer of Employment. You must also be able to pass a police check, as you will be responsible for financial handling, stock management, and access to customer vehicles.
Hours & Pay
We guarantee at least 30 hours of work per week for this role. The pay rate for this position ranges from $30 to $35 per hour.
