Gursaakhi Transport Limited is a transport company providing reliable and efficient freight transport services. We are looking for dedicated and skilled Truck Drivers to join our team in the Waikato region and support our commitment to delivering safe and timely transport solutions.
The role requires travel within the region to complete work duties, and all work-related travel and fuel costs will be covered by the employer.
Job Duties include-
- Drive the assigned truck along designated transport routes according to operational requirements.
- Check that loads are properly secured, safe, and in suitable condition before commencing each journey.
- Follow all required health and safety procedures during loading, unloading, and transportation activities.
- Complete accurate records of transported goods and confirm delivery documentation and invoices.
- Organise and plan suitable delivery routes to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Carry out scheduled deliveries and collection services as required.
- Maintain records of driving hours, mandatory rest breaks, distance travelled, and fuel/toll expenses.
- Apply efficient driving practices to reduce fuel consumption and support sustainable operations.
- Identify and report any vehicle faults, equipment issues, or maintenance requirements without delay.
- Notify the business of any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns that occur during transport operations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and condition by keeping equipment serviced, cleaning windows, windscreens, and mirrors regularly, and ensuring the interior remains tidy and free of rubbish.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.
Other important requirements:
- Relevant industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must hold a valid New Zealand Truck Driver License (Minimum Class 4) or an equivalent overseas heavy Truck licence.
- A clean driving history is required.
- Must be available to commence work as early as 4:00 AM.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Physically fit and capable of performing the duties required for the role.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to completing assigned tasks efficiently.
