Job description:
We are looking for 20 slaughterers to join our team. The work will be between Monday to Sunday, and minimum hours will be 30 per week. It will be permanent, full time Job.
Skills and Requirement:
· Strong knife skills and proficiency in various beef slaughtering and butchery techniques.
· Thorough understanding of different cuts of meat and their appropriate uses.
· Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (e.g., carcasses, boxes of meat) and stand for extended periods.
· Reliable, punctual, and with a strong work ethic.
· A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
· Be willing to undergo random drug tests while employed.
Responsibilities:
• Stunning animals using mechanical or electrical methods to ensure humane treatment.
• Shackling and positioning cattle for safe and efficient processing.
• Operating restrainer equipment to guide animals into slaughter position.
• Severing jugular veins to drain blood and facilitate dressing.
• Skinning entire carcasses or sections, depending on processing stage.
• Slitting open and eviscerating carcasses to remove internal organs.
• Trimming head meat and removing skulls or other parts as required.
• Sawing or splitting carcasses into halves or quarters for further handling.
• Cleaning carcasses by washing, scraping, and removing foreign material.
• Removing bones and cutting meat into standard cuts (e.g., rumps, flanks, shoulders).
• Sorting and washing viscera to separate edible portions from offal.
• Grinding meat for hamburger or sausage production.
• Wrapping and labeling meat cuts for distribution.
You need to have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in the same industry/ filed OR a New Zealand Level 4 qualification or equivalent certificate or qualifications.

ROLE : Meat Processing Supervisor
Wanted Production Supervisor – Meat Processing Supervisor
Work Location: Taranaki
Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours minimum & 40 hours Maximum / per week)
Our pay: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour (Based on your ability & capability)
To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 Production Supervisor- Poultry Processing to join our team. This position play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of poultry processing at our company. We are expecting someone who has a passion for attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team.
You will need to have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in the same field or industry OR have a relevant level 4 equivalent qualification/certificate or higher or have a bachelor degree.
Tasks Include:
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities, schedules, and workflow on the poultry processing line.
• Supervise, lead, and direct a team of poultry processing workers
• Train staff, conduct regular performance appraisals and manage shift rotations.
• Monitor production lines to ensure efficiency, resolve operational issues, and minimise downtime.
• Conduct routine quality control checks to ensure products meet company specifications and customer standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation
• Participate in staff rostering, performance management, and may assist in recruitment.
• Liaise with other departments/teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage inventory of processing supplies and coordinate with procurement.
• Enforce and monitor strict compliance with workplace health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
• Report to top management on production performance, compliance status, resource needs, and any critical issues requiring strategic input.
