Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team and play a key role in strengthening and developing their estimating function.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for managing tenders from start to finish, improving estimating efficiency, supporting project teams, and helping develop robust estimating systems and procedures.
You will have the opportunity to:
Take ownership of the estimating department and continuously improve systems and processes
Manage tenders from initial review through to submission
Provide technical support and mentoring to junior estimators and project teams
Review construction contracts, variations, claims, and commercial requirements
Develop cost databases and improve tendering procedures
Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and key clients
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
3-5+ years' estimating experience within the New Zealand construction industry
Strong attention to detail and excellent commercial understanding
Experience managing tenders from start to finish
A solid understanding of construction contracts, claims, variations, and dispute resolution
The ability to work autonomously and take ownership
Strong communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams
An engineering qualification would be highly advantageous.

Salary is approximately $100K–$130K, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate who can bring strong industry relationships, generate opportunities, and add strategic value to the business.
