About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our 3PL (third-party logistics) warehouse facility in Mangere, Auckland. The role is responsible for overseeing warehouse staff, ensuring efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, and maintaining high standards of service, safety and compliance across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan, organise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.

· Lead, roster and supervise warehouse staff, including performance management and training.

· Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and effective use of the warehouse management system.

· Monitor and improve warehouse workflows to maximise efficiency and meet client service levels.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment for all staff.

· Liaise with clients and internal teams regarding stock levels, delivery timeframes and any service issues.

· Manage relationships with freight, transport and equipment suppliers as required.

· Report on warehouse performance, including KPIs, stock discrepancies and operational issues.

· Ensure all warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, racking) is maintained and used safely.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:

· A qualification in logistics, supply chain management, business or a related discipline; or

· At least three years of relevant experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.

The successful applicant will also demonstrate:

· Proven experience managing warehouse operations and leading a team.

· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

· Good working knowledge of health and safety requirements in a warehouse environment.

· Experience with warehouse management systems and stock control processes.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills.

· Experience in 3PL, freight forwarding or logistics would be advantageous.
