Warehouse Operator

About the Role

This position involves the following duties, including but not limited to:

• Safe and efficient transportation of containers and freight.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Picking, packing and dispatching freight.
• Inventory control and stock management.
• General warehouse housekeeping.
• Following all health and safety procedures

 What we offer:

• Competitive hourly rate of NZD $25.00 – $31.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
• Minimum guaranteed hours of 32 hours per week.

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience working in a warehouse environment (at least 1-2 years’ preferable).
• Experience with inventory management systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Consignly is an advantage; however, training will be provided to the successful applicant.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and hold a valid work visa (if applicable).
• Pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
• Pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Provide satisfactory employment references.

 The following would be an advantage but not required:

• A current New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Experience using materials handling equipment, i.e. a current US16617 (or equivalent relevant qualification) or driving trucks to move goods.
