We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, direct and control the daily operations of the store.

  • Lead, supervise, train and motivate retail and food service staff.

  • Recruit, induct and manage employee performance.

  • Prepare staff rosters and allocate daily duties.

  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.

  • Manage purchasing, inventory control and stock levels.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer enquiries and complaints.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and all relevant New Zealand legislation.

  • Oversee cash handling, banking, POS reconciliation and financial reporting.

  • Manage merchandising, pricing, promotional activities and product displays.

  • Monitor budgets, operating costs and business performance.

  • Coordinate online orders and delivery operations.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.

  • Ensure the store is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, presentation and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare operational reports and implement continuous business improvements.

Skills & Experience

Applicants must have:

  • At least 2 years' relevant retail management experience, or

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management, Management or a related discipline.

The successful applicant will also demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership and people management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience with POS systems, inventory management and cash handling.

  • Sound organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail and food service environment.

  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.
