Carpenter

Core Duties

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations throughout the construction process.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction settings.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.

Tools & Equipment

• Proficient in using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and saws.
• Familiarity with power tools including drills, nail guns, and sanders.
• Experience with measuring tools like tape measures, squares, and levels.
• Knowledge of safety equipment such as hard hats, gloves, and goggles.
• Ability to operate scaffolding and ladders safely and effectively.
