Job Description

·       Planning efficient delivery schedules and determining optimal routes to ensure timely arrival at designated drop-off points.

·       Safely operating and positioning light or heavy vehicles within depot yards and customer sites to facilitate smooth loading and unloading operations.

·       Assisting warehouse staff with order picking and loading, ensuring freight is correctly staged, evenly distributed, and securely restrained to prevent transit damage.

·       Cross-checking transport documentation, manifests, and despatch records against physical consignments prior to departure.

·       Assisting with forklift operations, including loading and unloading goods, moving pallets, and safely handling freight within the warehouse and depot areas.

·       Coordinating the offloading process at delivery sites, securing signed Proof of Delivery (POD) dockets, and managing returns or rejected items as required.

·       Conducting pre-start vehicle inspections, maintaining logbooks, and reporting any mechanical faults or servicing requirements to the fleet manager.

·       Processing customer payments, reconciling cash or EFTPOS transactions, and liaising with the office regarding account queries or invoice discrepancies.

·       Undertaking additional tasks as directed by management, including yard duties, stock rotation, or supporting general logistics operations within the depot.

·       Location: Auckland

·       Job type: Full-time Permanent

·       Pay rate: 24.00- 28.00 New Zealand dollars per hour

·       Working days: 5-6 days per week

·       Weekly working hours: At least 30

Job Requirement

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a Bachelor degree in any discipline is required.
