Position Summary

The System Administrator is responsible for supporting the deployment, administration, localisation, and continuous improvement of Unicom Intelligent Building’s Hospitality Digital Platform across Australia and New Zealand.

Working closely with our Developer Programmer, ICT manager, ICT project managers, and hotel customers, this role will assist in delivering and maintaining a high-quality hospitality technology platform that enhances guest experience and hotel operations.

The successful candidate will play an important role in OEM platform implementation, customer onboarding, product localisation, technical support, documentation, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the deployment, configuration, and administration of the OEM Hospitality Digital Platform.
  • Coordinate platform localisation to meet Australian and New Zealand hospitality industry requirements.
  • Configure customer-specific branding, system settings, and platform customisation.
  • Support the implementation of Hospitality TV, IPTV, Guest Wi-Fi, Guest Casting, Digital Signage, QR Services, and Guest Experience solutions.
  • Work with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and third-party integrations.
  • Administer Windows and Linux servers, databases, virtual machines, and cloud services.
  • Support system integration with network infrastructure, CCTV, access control, VoIP, and cloud platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, investigate issues, and provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support.
  • Collaborate with overseas software development teams to test new features, identify improvements, and validate software releases.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, installation guides, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Deliver system training and technical support to hotel staff and internal teams.
  • Participate in solution design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
  • Assist in maintaining platform security, backup procedures, disaster recovery planning, and system monitoring.
  • Support continuous product improvement by gathering customer feedback and recommending enhancements.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
