Work Location: Auckland Region

Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week, Monday to Saturday), Permanent role

Our pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience

We are a construction company based in Auckland.

We are now looking for 3 Fixing Carpenters to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.

Tasks you may carry out:

·       Interpreting construction drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures for carpentry works related to frame bulkheads, and feature wall structures.

·       Preparing layouts for structural framing, ceiling systems

·       Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber components, including battens, framing members, and structural supports, using appropriate carpentry tools and equipment.

·       Preparing timber framing to accommodate plumbing pipes and concealed pipe installations on suspended ceilings, bulkheads, and bathroom fittings

·       Cutting and forming timber joints and assembling prepared components to create structural elements and fittings ready for installation.

·       Modifying timber battens and framing members to accommodate internal plumbing pipe

·       Installing timber framing, structural nogs, and reinforcement supports for fixtures such as bathroom sink basin, kitchen sink

To be successful you will need to:

• Have at least two years relevant experience, or
• Have a relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
• Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
• Have "can-do" attitude
