JOB DESCRIPTION – Junior Painter Precision Painters Ltd

The employee will be supported by senior staff to develop the following skills:

1. General preparation which includes filling holes and cracks, sanding, spot priming, masking, drop sheeting areas requiring protection, moving furniture.

2. Applying paint coatings by spray, roller and brush to surfaces.

3. Sanding surfaces between coats of paint ensuring quality. 

 

This position is for a minimum 30 hours per week Monday to Sunday.

 

About the role

We are looking for a junior painter to join our team; located in the Tasman region.

• Some experience in the painting or decorating industry (up to 6 months) or has completed a pre trade course

• A positive, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude

• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully

• Basic knowledge of painting tools and equipment

• A full driver's license preferred and your own reliable transportation

• We work in Nelson and Tasman predominantly. From time to time, we work in Golden Bay or Marlborough

• Pay rate minimum: $23.95 • Pay rate maximum: $23.95
