Job Title: Carpenter
Hourly rate: $27~ $40

Minimum Hours per week: at least 30 hours per week

Role Summary
We are seeking experienced Carpenters to join our growing team. The successful candidates will work on residential construction projects throughout Auckland, undertaking timber framing, external cladding, renovations, and general carpentry work while ensuring all work complies with the New Zealand Building Code and workplace health and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting building plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber framing.
• Installing external wall cladding and weatherproofing systems.
• Constructing floors, walls, roofs, ceilings, decks, and other structural components.
• Installing doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, and other finishing carpentry.
• Carrying out residential renovation and alteration work.
• Assisting with granny flat construction and other residential building projects.
• Operating and maintaining carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within project deadlines.
• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 requirements.
• Working collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications or at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in residential timber framing, external cladding and general carpentry is preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and work independently.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and safe work practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• A full New Zealand driver licence is preferred but not essential.
