Class 5 Driver

Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is a large family-owned South Island business with work bases in Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton and Christchurch. We have been around for over 50 years and have become a trusted, progressive brand in the civil construction industry.

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Driving roles to join our Waimate Oamaru team.

Due to forward work, we are looking to appoint a class 5 drivers who have attributes including:

  • Qualified class 5 license ideally with experience at farm maintenance and civil projects.
  • Knowledge and experienced at spreading gravels.
  • Competent to self-load with loaders or excavators.
  • Can look after the equipment, have a good driving record and basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Know about productivity and operates with a positive attitude.
  • Willing to be flexible when the work varies.
