What’s the opportunity?

To fill roles as motivated and hands-on Switchboard Builders/Panel wiremen in our manufacturing facility in New Plymouth. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality switchboards and electrical control panels that support critical electrical infrastructure projects and heavy industry. Working primarily within our manufacturing facility, and occasionally on client sites, you will be part of a skilled team responsible for bringing complex electrical systems to life.

The job we have on offer;

Due to growth and an expanding order book, we are looking for experienced switchboard builders. This full-time, 40 hour per week role involves working on the assembly and wiring of equipment, testing, inspection, quality control, and other associated tasks required for switchboard product delivery. To deliver our products effectively the role may require overtime work when required.

As Entec runs a large apprentice programme your participation in training and mentoring is an expectation.

To be considered you would need;

·                     an electrical qualification(preferred), or relevant experience,

·                     a good mechanical aptitude,

·                     the ability to interpret and follow schematic drawings,

·                     excellent attention to detail,

·                     a high level of literacy and numeracy,

·                     the ability to problem solve,

·                     to be an effective communicator,

·                     to be able to help create and work to production schedules,

·                     to promote Entec’s Health, Safety and Quality culture, and

·                     to be willing to work as part of a team.

Remuneration will be by way of competitive salary, dependent on qualifications, relevant experience, and any other skills you can bring to the business. Most of the work will be centred around Taranaki with the need to commit to short stints working away from home occasionally .
