We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and safety-conscious Tractor Operator to join our team in the Franklin region. This role involves operating and maintaining modern agricultural machinery for ground preparation, slashing, pasture management, and general rural site upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

Machinery Operation: Safely operate modern tractors equipped with various implements (mowers, slashers, power harrows, seeders, sprayers, and utility trailers).

Ground & Land Maintenance: Perform regular pasture topping, paddock preparation, line maintenance, and general land upkeep.

Routine Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-start checks, greasing, basic servicing, fluid top-ups, and keep machinery clean and operational.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to on-site Health & Safety guidelines, identify hazards, and maintain a safe working environment.

General Site Tasks: Assist with basic fencing repairs, farm maintenance, and material handling using loaders as required.
What We Are Looking For

Experience: Minimum 3 years operating tractors and agricultural implements in a farming, lifestyle, or commercial contracting environment.

Licensing: Valid Class 1 NZ Driver Licence

Technical Ability: Solid understanding of tractor mechanics, PTO-driven implements, hydraulic systems, and basic field maintenance.

Work Ethic: Strong practical problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and pride in maintaining equipment.

Location: Must reside in or near the Franklin district with reliable personal transport.
